HL-2240 Installation in RSH's Lazy Puppy 202

#1 Post by bill »

Of course I may have taken a wrong turn in rcrsn51's instructions but while my AMD 64 box could definitely see my Brother HL-2240 (by the flashing green led) ,it simply refused to output a page ? While perusing the net,I noted instructions to use RPM packages instead,so I Dled them
and massaged them with UNRPM ,then using CUPS to locate HL-2240.To make a long story short "It now prints and outputs" Wish I could say why
but no sense in fighting prosperity. cheers

The HL-series drivers are pretty basic, so you could probably get one working just by messing around with undeb/unrpm.

Or just try the Gutenprint HL-2060 driver.

But in the long run, you would be better off asking some questions about how to use debbi. If there is a problem, your input would be helpful to others.
