Not sure if I am using Xarchive correctly.

I would like to tag files to delete, but when I do so, (Using Ctrl)
it selects all of them.

Am I doing something wrong ?

Using Slacko 5.7

I am using Xarchive 0.2.8.6

Left click on a listed item it highlights.
Hold ctrl key.
Keep clicking on items you want to select.
Multiple items stay highlighted.
Right click on one to see menu of options.
Choose an option.

Works for me.

If you are looking at an archive that contains directories.
If you click on a directory. It will also highlight any items in it.
Makes sense, you just selected a directory and thus anything in it.

Example:
Clicked on /root/.icewm directory listed item.
All items in directory got highlighted.

Thanks.

Found new problem.

I can not extract files from an archive.

I tried different directories.

I don't know if this is impt., but the file names are preceded by a ~.

probably paramount.... xarchive is a frontend for a series of bash scripts and they handle the actual packing/unpacking.

a tilde ~ could well be seen as /root or alternatively NOT seen as /root so the files get lost... as to how it got in there perhaps it was done by another program.

I will see if I can recreate this or you could link to an example
