Slacko64 5.9.1 dropping out to initial-ramdisk console

Guys, trying Slacko64 I get this silly error, which I don't get when trying any other Puppy distribution, e.g. Slacko 32bit.
Hardware is Dell D430 Dual Core (64bit processor), using Unetbootin to write the ISO to a Sandisk USB stick. I've used this process successfully many times with different puppy flavours (Fatdog64, Lupu, Slacko 32bit 5.5 onward, LxPup etc) and other Distros.
So after attempting to search for Puppy Files Slacko64 states
"puppy_slacko64_5.9.1.sfs not found. Dropping out to initial-ramdisk console..."
Now when I view the contents of the USB under Lubuntu, I see this SFS file, so it's there, and correctly named.
Searched the forum and someone else had this problem in the past but the answer he got was unsatisfactory.
So does anyone know the fix?
