Hi...

Welcome to the forum :)

Adobe has stopped supporting standalone versions of Flash Player for Linux since 11.2, except for security and bug fixes. The only way to get a newer release of Flash Player is to install a recent copy of Google Chrome, which includes the "Pepper" version of Flash.

Please see here.

There are open source versions of flash, Gnash and Lightspark but I don't think they work as well as Adobe's.

Regards...
