'i686 arch' means Intel 686 architecture, which is I believe the Pentium 4. Is that what you meant?

8) Very good news.

My belief is an operating system should be complete, stable and minimal, allowing the running of processor intensive tasks for example
  • 3D raytracing - Puppy has a few .pups for that
Sphinx voice recognition - anyone up for that?
    advanced game play
    video editing
    animation
    AI
Robotics - any news of the new poppy powered underwater robot?
Open Source Time Travel - http://tmxxine.com/Wikka/wikka.php?wakka=LinuxTmxxine
etc

Barry is moving to k2 as a development system, which will make Puppy viable on a range of processors from IBM/Sony Cell to yet to be available phone chips.

Puppy runs on old and new, 32 and 64 bit

Next step?
