Reading through the advisories, all openssl versions still have some gaping holes. Whilst DoS attacks don't worry me, Man-in-the-middle attacks sound ominous. Versions prior to 0.9.8zb ; 1.0.0n ; 1.0.1i all have vulnerabilities. I tried to compile latest versions, but wound up with 'updates', with files in different places to Puppy locations & many missing.
What to do?
How much of a problem is openssl now?
Maybe some info here:

The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
