Freecad-dev 0.16 need 4_51_freecad-dev0.16deps_only_6.0.2.sfs,it never got a specific link to it,an "everything" link under download in freecad-dev folder is the place to look for it .
There it is:
4_51_freecad-dev0.16deps_only_6.0.2.sfs

I did not tried lately but you should be able to install the stable 0.16 version from https://launchpad.net/~freecad-maintain ... cad-stable and find missing dependencies thru "check dependencies intalled pkg" ,if it failed to find it all missing deps, run freecad from terminal and sort it out "manually".You should also be able install the above deps.sfs and install stable freecad0.16 as "standard" pkg(not in an sfs) or feel free to pack a stable freecad 0.16 sfs out of it and share that stability!

Unfortunately I am missing the skills to get a Freecad 16.
This starts already with adding a Ubuntu repository to the packagemanager in PuppyTahr.
I got a page called usr/local/petget/README-add-repo.htm full of information of wich I can not beak any bread.

I downloaded a Freecad 16 tar.gz from your lounchepad.net, and than cmake tells me that I do not have Python installed.
However Python is installed.

Ive been this way before.
Missing libraries, wich are not missing, or finally found, and then new missing libraries appear.
It takes me days and days and days, and always I nearly succeed.
(ruining my system in the process)

But nearly is as good as not.
I am just missing the skills.

I guess I have to stick with 17

I found youtube tutorials for 0.17 in Español,
Since I understand Spanish as much (or less) as English, its good enough.

Yes, perfectly.
It works out of the box.
I can now continue my lessens and construct my castle in the sky.

It shouts an error on the console though.
Which 0.17 doesn't do: But I cannot see no problem happening on the Freecad screen, so I don't mind.

0.17 is in alpha stage, 0.16 is latest release, you can find links in first post for both sfs.

Latest "squashed" freecad-daily 0.17 alpha sfs I did is from last year,29 december, while timestamping,best wishes for 2017 to all .

A reminder,stated elsewhere,
be advised, sfs users must know
-using sfs with dependencies,in the case of freecad found here,a lots, if other softwares/dependencies are installed from ppm and removed some mishap could happen. Backing up working savefile/folder(safer without loaded sfs...) with puppys is so easy ,why skip it!

and in different topic...
-freecad sfs work with artfulpup ,but missing qt4 dependencies must be installed if you could live with small(bigger...)font weirdness.
-as tahr support end in 2019 i should moved forward too...

Tried to make upupbb freecad sfs...no luck,dependencies uncooperative libs,but weirdly made a too big 264mb pet with all libs recognized!!! i should investigate more those sfs libs not seen problems one day..
until that the ¨trusty¨ fc sfs work if you install those missing. Dont forget you can always install fc from ppm/old-stable or deb/daily-beta and add bits and pieces required,upupbb speaking,or else..

tested Bionicpup64 with freecad x64 sfs found here= works....

woooo...its almost my 10th puppy user birthday....long log live to puppys....
lot of distros did not last that long...if you could see puppys as a distro,or hydrid? anyhow,very useful and appreciate here...

oups freecad-daily-tahr-64 sfs+ bionicpup64+ qt4 sfs= qt4 problems...
installing qt4 opengl+deps+qt4 svg from ppm does it right...

i am using fatdog64 721
i have downloaded freecad 0.18 sfs file from google drive
also downloaded heekscad 1.1.0 sfs file. but when i try to open these nothing happens what do i do?
