You can use copy&paste.

Select some text with the mouse.
Then click somewhere else with the middle mousebutton.

By the way, how do you set up middle mouse button emulation for those of us without middle mouse buttons?

I know other Linux distros I've used let me do it when installing, but Puppy never asked to set up the emulation.

press the scroll wheel down

I have a MS wireless keyboard & mouse combo I found that a firm downward click on the wheel acts as the third button. I select scroll y[n] -> y when first asked. I love it. Other mice pressing both buttons at the same time acts as third button.

Also, look at the FAQ, somewhere near the bottom of the page I think:

www.pupweb.org/puppy/faq.htm

...stuff about the clipboard, also the rxvt terminal.

add -2button to /etc/xextraoptions

either run the Video Wizard and click the xoptions button, or edit the file directly (then restart X or reboot)

Linux uses the 3rd button a lot ... you really need a 3 button mouse if you use Linux much

Thanks :D

Yeah, I'll probably invest in a 3 button mouse when I get a new computer.
