HP M407 Camera. Puppy 6.0 tahr won't open xml format pics

#1 Post by J_D_ »

Full install on a Toshiba A105 laptop. I plug the HP camera into the USB, and Puppy sees it right away. Ive tried a lot of things but cant figure out how to open the pics. xml format. I dragged the files to Roxfiler and they show up. If I click, set run command, I dont know what to type in. Tried a lot of things but I am lost
Help please ??
Really liking this OS.

I suppose xml is a proprietary HP format that Puppy doesn't speak. If you set the camera so it saves the pictures in jpeg format, can Puppy open them?

That was freaky. Clicked on the link. Hooked up the camera to try something and "tadaa" the pictures were there. Thanks.

HP Photosmart M407.
Review Date: December 2nd 2004. It states here: http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews_ ... m407_3.php that:
Output File Format JPEG (EXIF 2.2) for still images; MPEG-1 for video clips.

Did some things. One, updated to Puppy 6.0 full install, it rocks. Two, replaced the USB cable. Three hooked up the camera and it opened the files as .jpeg files. All good.
