Nice to see a new language appear!

Good luck with translating.

You have probably seen it, but just in case... Puppy has an integrated translation program in the menu: Momanager.

If you need any help, this is a friendly forum. Some barking happens, but..barking dogs never bite :)

Thanks for reply. I've already translate the main menu with Momanger. One more question : When I translate everything, there will be only one .pet file for Czech language installation ?

That's very simple, thanks. Tomorrow I'll finish my website and post a link in this thread.

So, here is my website : http://puppylinux.ic.cz/
It's very simple and still under construction. I hope that Czech users will find it via search engine, because there is no Czech community even if there is a lot of people using Puppy.

edit : bad URL

Hello and welcome to the forum. :)

Remember that some programs in Puppy Linux may have translations already (Abiword, Gnumeric, ROX-Filer, Geany, Osmo, Gparted, etc.), you just have to find them and include them in the pet package. If those translations are incomplete, you can finish them, or if there aren't any translations in your language, check the official sites for localization instructions. You'll have to translate most interfaces that are unique to Puppy Linux, though.

By now you may already know where to find information about localizing Puppy Linux. You can also check this thread for the latest improvements to Momanager.

If you are interested in a right click menu in the Czech language

there is a pet package available from me. Around 100 expressions
need to be translated and sent back to me. Around one hr. work.

Essentially all you do is install the pinstall.sh script that I give
and then run momanager.

The translations are sent to me and I make the final pet package.

An easy way to find them might be:
download fatdog's latest http://ftp.nluug.nl/ibiblio/distributio ... _700b2.sfs
and copy these files from there.

Congrats for your website. :D

basic HTML from primary school
My start was translating http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Guide/Overview.html

From my experience one has to wait one or two (or two ore three) days until google will use a new site...
edit
Are you sure there is no robots.txt (which might turn off indexing) on that server?

Hi martyj,

If it has to be free (0 $), weebly isn't bad.

The free version, has "powered by weebly" in the footer of your web page.
The address will always be "http://a-name-you-choose.weebly.com"

See my link to "PupSearch" below for an example.

Hello again. I tried to translate menu categories with momanager, but it doesn't take effect, even if I reboot. What's wrong ? Translate of menu entries and other stuff works good. Thanks for reply.
