tahrpup64 CE

this is tahrpup64 6.0.5 built with 64bit ubuntu 14.04 trusty tahr libs, using woof.C.E

kernel 3.14.54

jwm, palemoon, vlc, mtpaint, abiword, geany, hexchat, gnumeric, qpdf viewer ,urxvt ,simple screen recorder ,minidlna , dunst(OSD), getflash, getjava, Mydbox ,ListDD ,pupsysinfo, mtp-connect, pmcputemp, mtp-connect, mp-5, deadbeef, sticky-JWM, samba, pburn, gnugcc (gcc switcher), compton, compton-config, QT4, kernel switcher, firewall_ng (01micko), avfs, JWMdesk, planner, homebank, htop, Uextract, packit, multirename, improved fonts (iguleder) and lots more.

thanks to all the developers, contributors & testers!

tahrpup was only possible because of 'woofCE', forked from woof created by Barry k, maintained by 01micko, mavrothal, iguleder and contributed to by various others.... all the hard work went on there :D
--------------------------------------------------------------------
testing....
init that allows to load upto 30.sfs files 'ASRI',
'giros' fsck for ext4 & giros updated partview.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
a 32bit compatibilty.sfs is available which allows tahrpup64 to run skype, steam and various other 32bit packages. to install type sfsget into a terminal. once loaded type ldconfig into a terminal and you're set to go. (if you want to install proprietary graphic drivers please install the 32-compatibilty.sfs first)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
i've included 'avfs'. avfs allows the mounting of zips, rars & tars as a file system, such as on android phones & windows. it's disabled by default but can be enabled by moving /root/Startup/disabled/avfs to /root/Startup & restarting X. you will need to right click on a zip/rar/tar and choose set run action and set to .... exec rox ~/.avfs-mount/"$1#"
--------------------------------------------------------------------
tahrpup64 comes with compton compositor for X11. to try just type compton into a terminal. to have it run every boot move /root/Startup/disabled/compton to /root/Startup. there's also compton-conf . a GUI to help set compton up, type compton-conf into a terminal .
--------------------------------------------------------------------
01micko has built the latest 4.1.7 kernel with lots of drivers which you can find here http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... &start=165
stemsee also has some kernels here http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... &start=255
you can use the change_kernels command to swap.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
elephantis has made a tahrpup theme for palemoon/firefox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefo ... pup-6-0-2/
--------------------------------------------------------------------
some user contributed packages are available here http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=101263

Nice job to get 64bit tahrpup started.
I will test as much as I can.
Thanks.

Owh... That's a nice... (Maybe I not tested but I will be hope that's would be better...)
But I have a hope that's haves a Newest GCC 4.9,Palemoon or Seamonkey,Mesa... etc.
When Fatdog would be haves only a Intel,AMD,Nouveau (Good for lites instead of a 32bit others as Old ATi Rage)

When if they would be more nostalgic when I will be wait about a Lucidpup64 (glibc 2.11 (or 2.12) + 2.6.38 + X.org from 2011' with AMD Fusion FM1 support + Dillo browser or Lightly browser)

i've been attempting this for about 6 months now and finally after about 30 attempts, it boots to desktop.
That statement seems a little strange with the progress that has been made with Woof CE.

01micko seemed to come up with Slacko 64 in short time period, using Woof CE to build it.
It does have some problems, but nothing like you are having.
I wonder if he can provide you some help.

Anyway, THANKS FOR WORKING ON THIS :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :D :D :D :D :D :D

Just to point out (to phil too - just in case) that Micko is using a slacko64-specific woof repo, not merged to woof-CE proper yet since slacko64 is still in alpha.

It's would be nice if be can compile at kernel-source (as: "kernel-source-3.17.4-tahr64.sfs"... (Used at VirtualBox/AMD or Nvidia Drivers)
When I have a hope that's would be have a newest FFMpeg... (If be have not... No problem. I can download at binary...) for Command: "ffmpeg -i Video.mp4 -i Audio.m4a -vcodec libvpx-vp9 -strict -2 -acodec libopus VideoVP9.webm" (Pretty fast than XMedia at 32bit... ~0,16FPS - Because that's use a 64bit...)
If Seamonkey is a 2.31 that's fine. (But I am viewed at .sfs form and I look that's glibc is still 2.19 but that's not bad if not hurry about a 2.20...)
But I am look that's too large about a some oldest useless drivers for Newest Computers... [for example at a Old Graphics drivers: cirrus,mach64,mga,neomagic,qxl,r128,s3,savage,siliconmotion,sis [useless even with a Windows users at a VGA Only...],sisusb,spiceqxl,tdfx,trident (~386 or 486 computers)] But that's pro (+) that's includes at Wacom drivers... Respect. But that's good if be removes a .git scripts about a Oldest drivers... (Useless for 64bit Laptops/Modern PC's)
---
When I can see that's can be use even with Vivid version from Launchpad as example -> https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/vivid/+pac ... fterimage0
("libafterimage0" is a lite. - When that's can use even with a "libmagic1/file")

I am getting kernel panic while booting. Image.Edit: My machine is Intel i3-3220 @3.30GHz, Mobo - Intel DH61BF, Ram- 6Gb.
Booting from 1Gb USB stick using Syslinux.
The same stick also has Tahrpup6, Fatdog631, Fatdog700b2 in their respective folders. All have savefolders on hard drive sda7 partition.

Thanks.

new iso uploaded

internet fixed (for me at least)
desktop icons fixed
dbus working
gcc working , although i'm still not able to compile the kernel in tahrpup64

i haven't included abiword, mtpaint or gnumeric , if you want them grab them from the PPM ...or download the libreoffice+gimp64.sfs

one bug that keeps occuring.

in /lib and /usr/lib there are symlinks called 'x86_64-linux-gnu' which are links to the /lib and /usr/lib folders

occasionally when installing something, either manually or from the PPM, the symlink gets overwritten with an actual folder causing catastrophic failure needing hard power off. you then need to boot pfix=ram and delete the folder & .wh file to rescue the save.

does anyone have any ideas why it's happening and how to stop it?
