Lxpup - Fresh Audacity Install Will Not Record

Next issue I just ran into.....did a fresh install of Audacity 2.0.5 from PPM. It appeared to install all dependencies, etc. Audacity seems to run fine....it can generate a tone and play it back.However, I tried to push the record button and the cursor just sits at the beginning of the line without moving. A little puzzled by this one as usually Audacity just works.....LOL.

I was going to try uninstalling Audacity and reinstall, however PPM will not allow Audacity to uninstall because of the dependencies. I mentioned this issue in another thread about Tahrpup....

Did you launch 'retrovol' audio mixer and turn on your input source?

I find that recent versions of Audacity need 'retrovol' for recording.

AHA! That was it! Audacity is recording fine now. Thanks a heap! Hard to believe it wasn't working for 1 little checkbox.....LOL.
