Help with wireless USB for Livebox Wanadoo ( In FRANCE !)

#1 Post by akash799 »

Hi there !

I am living in France and am having trouble connecting to the internet using linux .
Unfortunately my computer is quite old, I'm using PuppyLinux version2.01 and it has loaded ok and is working excellently but i'm having trouble in connecting to the internet !
I want to connect using the Usb key that the Wanadoo Livebox package provided but I'm unable to get it to work !

For your information I have :

* A Livebox manufactured by Sagem
* The Usb key is a 802.11b/g USB WLAN manufactured by ZyDAS
* Usb version : 2.00
* Vendor ID : 079b
* Product ID : 0062

Is there any other kind of information that I should provide ?

WhenI am given the command lines where do I type them ?
I mean is there any special application that I should use to type the commands ?

I have seen threads about the Livebox (in the French Ubuntu Forums ) and how to configure it but its in French and I'm having trouble understanding it.
Is there anyone who can help me ?
