Tmxxine Puppy server space gone

#1 Post by Lobster »

The tmxxine server at servage net is now now lapsed and will not be renewed.
Many Puppy files were stored there including
the Lobster introduction to Puppy (about time we had some new blood offering something more up to date anyways . . . )

Servage were not a good server host
Servage deliberately altered PHP code to feed pron and via-agra
customers who they also hosted. Several times the tmxxine wiki was
compromised and restarted only to be altered.

Barryk used and quickly abandoned Servage. Sensible. 8)

Tmxxine stuck with Servage for ease of use
and FTP hosting. Also to ensure the directives of the Chronology Protection Agency were fulfilled.

Well....that's dud news, Lobster

What will happen to those files - do you have local copies of them?

If you want to keep them available to users, you can have an FTP account and space on my server to upload them, if you wish....your call..

Never mind, Lobster

When you get your time travel machine fully functional, you'll be able to go back and retrieve anything you need, that you didn't save already...

Dust to dust. Ashes to ashes.
Thanks guys for the interest.
Learned a lot through the server hosting.

Yes Ed...there are times to go to the void.
I have seen this in a movie...Vampires I think.

Maybe a Sardine movie...dunno

Are you leaving the Pups?

Thanks Eric
The server dies. The cloud continues.

Too mysterious?
Just leaving servage
as they have served their purpose but not as well
as I would have liked . . .

Hope you are well :)
One day someone from the future might scour cyberspace
and find a few shells and bones . . .

Oh by the way you were the first Puppy after me
to commit to buying a Raspberry Pi for Puppy testing
Did you manage to get an order in - delivery in 2014 maybe?

No Raspberry Pie for me at this time.

I'm building a forest so computers are not needed.

I bought a tractor and I'm in the mud (so to speak).

I'm building the "Mulcaster Conservation Authority" as we speak.

Wish me well and to all...donate to the forest...Eric

PS...Ed...I have space at puppylinux.ca if you need it.

Too cool. 8)
I knew I needed something . . . :)
Let us know when we can send acorns . . .

Wow - planting trees is one of my favourite things.
I planted a few here when I stayed for a short retreat

I will wish you well and devote puja (prayer time) to you.

Some of my best friends are trees
PS...Ed...I have space at puppylinux.ca if you need it.
No need to fill space (trying to remove myself from it) but the offer is kind. 8)
Say hi to the trees for me . . .

I will say hello to anyone that wants me to say "Hi" to a tree...a water way...or a knewt aka German newt (for MU).

Donations are through my button on puppylinux.ca but I need to distinguish/separate Puppy and my inbound so there isn't a conflict...don't know how yet...hmmm. I asked Barry and I need a separation...I'll figure it out soon...THANKS Barry!!

I have a loader/blade and back-hoe coming...this is such fun but so expensive it makes my teeth hurt...yikes...E

So in your estimation eric, how many tractors, loader/blade and back-hoe would it take to build the amazon rain forest?
Note to self: dont mix porn lobsters and v i a g r a.
