I tried Google translation service for my create-m3u pet

I found that I should ...
-delete certain characters such as $ sign.
-Put punctuation at end of each sentence and heading
-Arrange so each line is a complete sentence.
- Technical words such as Langpack and pet or SFS should remain in English
- Arabic reverses flow direction of sentence ----for instance -> Dollar sign is at back end of number and variable
of word rather than front end.
- Save entire page as HTML format and put the language in the file name
so it can be reopened easily when using momanager

I could try to do an Arabic and a Chinese translation for you if you want
(even though I don't speak a word of these languages)

English and Danish are NOT locales.
English and Danish are languages.

Can you please be more explicit?

All the same...
What I can say: Texts above are displayed in popups on mouse hovering buttons that let user choose the locale using quicksetup GUI in his own language (This "Welcome chooser" was already present in the previous and first version of ToOpPy).

Cordialement.

You say it correctly here: quicksetup will come in the chosen language.
Why flags? It is about languages not countries! (Which flag for Arabic  )

Your flags let user choose a language for quicksetup.
quicksetup let choose the locale (there are some more francophones in countries other than France)
Aborted!
I do Not translate phrases if I am convinced they are wrong.

Best tooltip text would be just the language name.
Just my humble opinion.

EDIT
Or even better than best: Replace flags by language names.

Hello,
Thanks for replying.

Sorry but, visually, I didn't find something better to call a specific language to mind than the (colors of) flag of the country in which it is originally spoken. It is nothing else than... a fact. Notice that, for English language, i didn't use the US flag!

When I was a little boy, I liked a lot to look at flags at the end of my dictionary, with lots of color. Nice and bright... I kept the same eye: this is how I see flags, how I intend to see them. I do not try to serve or deserve any ideology, just do something simple, immediately understandable for all users, regardless of their background (as far as I'm concerned, I feel and am Breton at first, before being French, but I do not speak Breton)!
I do Not translate phrases if I am convinced they are wrong.
May I say that this "climate of opinion" is NOT constructive AT ALL?

Cordialement.

Hello L18L,
So, to be in keeping with Puppy "spirit" (you have indeed done enough for Puppy to be a worthy representative of it and I don't want to be blamed about anything: your approbation would miss me!), I modified the pictures of my script, following your advice...

Cordialement.

PS: what is making things a bit complicated is that my script let user choose his language at first run but also, later and if he wants, change the locale "on the fly". To do this, user don't need Choose locale GUI to be displayed in the language matching with chosen "locale"...

(with a little help from my Puppy "friends"...)

EDIT: Chains modified in the first post. Is it OK?

Cordialement.

It is possible to convert Precise Puppy into Chinese.
There is a langpack available.

I explain how I did it HERE

I tried to do a translation into Arabic and Chinese

http://www.datafilehost.com/d/5549b52a

Arabic is quite hard because the difference in the flow direction
confuses the texteditor

Best thing to do is open the html file
with Composer and use the clipboard to paste in poeditor.

When I tried to install the Chinese language pack in Tooppy

the first window would show Chinese, but then the second same window would
show in French. The installation was damaged.

So there is some incompatability.

Bonjour,

Some chains are specific to ToOpPy (example: 3 in 1 MENU, etc) and the scripts which do the translation of these chains must themselves have their own mo file... so be translated too to work properly...

Cordialement.

By the way... Flags are way better than 2 letter country codes
(after all you've aggreed it's not about country, but rather about languages those flags represent)
