How to use TP-Link WN-725N USB dongle in Slacko 5.7?

#1 Post by Mike Walsh »

Afternoon, everybody.

I'm running two Puppies currently, Tahrpup 6.02 & Slacko 5.7. I use Tahrpup on my old Dell lappie, 'cos it has the right driver for my TP-Link WN-725N wireless 'N' dongle included.....the 'r8188eu'.

I'd like to be able to use Slacko on the old Dell, too, but Slacko doesn't have the correct driver included. I'm guessing this means a kernel module would need to be added, yes? How would I go about doing this? Need a few pointers.....

Regards,

Mike. :)

UPDATE: Problem solved, after rcrsn51 donated his .pet of the 'r8188eu' driver module, compiled for Slacko 5.7.0. :D

Cheers, rcrsn51! Many thanks.

Mike.
