2.02 black screen (just small area), plus other quick Q's

ok, i was messing around with the sound driver wizard and it messed up wouldnt play sound (i wanted to see if the sound was up on the cp so i clicked the sound icon (next to blinky on the toolbar) and this black box appeared my mouse would move over it yet i couldnt click on anything that the black box covered up
, i am speaking in past tense as the problem is fixed but the real question now is 1. why did this happen? 2. has this always happened or is this new for 2.02?

i also wanted to say the NTFS support works AMAZINGLY! lovin it! (the video below is playing from my NTFS hard drive, i love it)




i also wanna say i have NEVER had 1.0 gig of ram! its always been like 900 something but with this it says 1.0 gig glitch or does it run in less ram? or since i have swap does it load in my swap instead of ram?
