digikam crashing - missing kdelibs at installation time

#1 Post by labbe5 »

To complete installation of digikam, you need some libs. Without them, digikam crashes.

Here is what you need to add : kdelibs-bin kdelibs5-data kdelibs5-plugins

You open a terminal window, and with sudo apt-get install, you can install these libs.

dikigam is one the best photos organizer for Linux.

oxygen icon theme & kipi-plugins for digikam

#2 Post by labbe5 »

To optimize digikam have oxygen icon theme and kipi-plugins installed

All you have to do is opening a terminal window and sudo apt-get install oxygen-icon-theme-complete kipi-plugins

If you prefer to have a squashfs file encompassing all of the above, with APTtoSFS, you
do : digikam kdelibs-bin kdelibs5-data kdelibs5-plugins oxygen-icon-theme-complete kipi-plugins. The resulting file is 145mb that you load with SFS-load.
