Like contracts have small prints nobody cares to read, You Tube has a feature in smal prints, at the bottom of the page, called History. Click it and you have : Clear All Watch History and Pause Watch History.
Until you clear your Watch History, everything you ever watched is kept by You Tube (Google being the owner). When you stop a second to think about what that means, you can not help it : you flush your Watch History, and click Pause Watch History.

Or simply avoid having a google/you tube account.
We discovered sooo much stuff they had stored on us...not to mention their mal use of password information.
The history thing equally applies to google searching...do you really want someone to have a complete history of your surfing habits on tap... then of course they have all you documents and files too...why not hand over your credit card details to finish the job for them... oh you gave them your phone number already...ah well
