FreeFileSync package needed

#1 Post by niel6 »

I need a FreeFileSync package for puppy 5.7.1

I use puppy and dd for backup of my partitions (40 gb takes 38 minutes)

I have started to use FreeFileSync to synchronize (backup) my home folder in ubuntu and it works very good (5 gb synchronize takes 5 - 12 minutes)

I would like to have freefilesync also on my puppy 5.7.1

If you have both dd and a freefilesync on your puppy cd you have a perfect backup solution.

have you tried the command:

Code: Select all

rsync -a
http://linux.die.net/man/1/rsync

it might be faster than dd.

I don't know. I'm new to linux.

FreeFileSync package needed

Have read, but think the GUI FreeFileSync is much easier to set up and use.

I find FreeFileSync a very good alternative to rsync, mostly just some mouse clicks!

That's my reason.
