Weird audio problem on XSlacko 3.0

#1 Post by Deacon »

Recently I added "Headphone playback" to the tray icon in Retrovol hoping I'd get two sliders. Instead I got one, and now I find I can't run the machine without the internal speaker working even with the headphone plugged in. Trying to change stuff in Alsamixer. No dice.

The internal speaker and the headphone go up and down together.

Fixed: Use Full Window in Retrovol

Turns out when I checked the Full Window by right-clicking the speaker the Master volume was unchecked. If this ever happens, trial and error and making sure both Master and headphone are checked fixes it.

Sorry all!

Thanks for updating. Probably has to do with the annoying default to mute behaviour ALSA has
