Cant connect to the internet on puppy

So I just installed puppy and I was so excited but when I tried to launch the web browser there were problems. I could not connect to the internet and did not know how to check or detect my internet settings. Maybe I am a little spoiled, used to auto-connecting to the internet but is there some way for me to input my connecting settings or something? Oh btw I am using puppy 1.09 (couldn

Try try going to Start>Setup>Ethernet wizard and follow the prompts. Firefox is available as a Dotpup download for any version of Puppy -download and install, then go to Help at the top of the Firefox window and click "check for updates". Install the updates. The options box will be found under Edit>Preferences - it is the same as what you would find under Tools>Options in Windows.

Maybe you should tell us how you're trying to connect to the internet. Dialup? Wireless? Cable modem?
