Whenever I install dotpup or pupget software, the next time I boot (or when I reboot), all the icons along the left side of the screen are displaced to the far right side of the screen. This is very consistent behavior. I can move them back and all is well until I try installing software again.
How can I prevent this?

rename
/usr/sbin/fixPuppyPin
to
/usr/sbin/fixPuppyPin---
This script starts with X and tries to solve, that icons "on the right" are always on the right, whatever resolution you choose.
In some cases, it seems to have some strange results though, in that case you can deactivate it as described.
