SOLVED: run windows and linux?
I have Windows 98SE and I just got PuppyLinux on CD.
Can I still run my Windows 98SE after I run Linux
If so how? Do I just take the CD out and start normally?
If u could help, thnx.
Daniel

First, make sure that you check the MD5 checksum to make sure the download was good. Then check that you burned the CD as an image not a data CD. If you are using the Windows CD burning program to burn the CD it doesn't do images. Your easiest solution would be to download a free program called BurnCDCC - check Google for sources - it does nothing but burn images to disc and is very easy to use. Also use the slowest possible burn speed - it increases your chances of getting a good CD. Hope this helps.
Always give without remembering - always receive without forgetting.

Could you review in a little more detail, while the experience is fresh in your mind, the problems you had using Puppy for the first time and how you solved them? (Both for the benefit of other beginners who may have the same problem, and also Puppy developers, so they can make Puppy even easier to use.)Buzz1170 wrote:Heh-heh
I got it to work
I just ended the ISO CD write too early...
Thanks
I downloaded an ISO CD Burner to burn the ISO to a CD
I put a blank CD in the CD drive
I started the ISO burner and started a new ISO "Burn from File" document
I saved PuppyLinux to a part of my computer where I could get it
I found the Puppy Linux ISO file in the ISO burner
I started the burn
After a few minutes, the burner displayed a pop-up message telling me it was done
The first time it didnt work was because I accidentaly ended the burning process when the meter said 100%. I had to wait for it to tell me it was done.
I closed the ISO burner, and the CD ejected.
I put it in my laptop, restarted the laptop, and waited for Puppy to start.
