works on toshiba portege 7010ct except it says that 1024x768 resolution is available but the screen only goes up to 800x600.

should be possible to use your prevoius xorg.conf, you will still have to comment out the lines in xwin, as xwin will try to overwrite your xorg.conf when it tries to run the xorgwizard.

my IBM 10/100 Etherjet Cardbus Adapter (pcmcia) uses the xircom_tulip_cb. driver, this is still in puppy 217.

the dsl photo shows that the driver being used is the xircom_tulip_cb. not the xircom_cb driver.

on earlier puppy versions xwin had to be commented out from line 260, on 217 this has moved up to line 133.

sage its not a missing woof woof box, its a welcome desktop. with a frugal install, once you create a save file (on shutdown or reboot) it reverts to a plain background.

once the xorgwizard has frozen, try ctrl+c to stop the script running, then make sure that xwin has been modified as in barry's post http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=14140

then run xorgconfig and after saving type xwin
