Puppy 5 - New Hope ?
I am reading this as a relative newbie to Linux and puppy and only switched to puppy from Mandriva because of all the reviews about it being good on older machinesand at the time I was looking for something to put on a older laptop. But now I am worried, because although i am quite content with runn...

Linux v Windoze games
But isn't the whole idea to try and get Linux more into the mainsteam, then in theory more programs would be available to it. Mind you it doesn't help by having Wine etc, as developers don't need to develop for Linux if it can run under wine. How many people when they have a windoze machine see if t...

Linux v Windoze games
What I think is needed is a new approach where a few of the larger distro companies of Linux, group together some of their resources to develop a range of Linux Only (no sharing) games and Educational Apps. They should also do an online Game or games that only Linux users of all distros can access, ...

Linux v Windoze and games
The problem is I beleive that everybody who has heard of Linux believes that linux is just for Old Computers, and because of this how can the latest games ever be ported across. Also while there are all these emulators and while linux users are quite content to use them to run windoze programs, or t...

Xara, Kino Dotpets
I too would also like to see more Pets for Puppy 4.
It would be great if we could get Xara and Kino. When you look at the packages for Puppy 3 and Puppy 4, then I start to wonder what advantage there is installing Puppy 4, when there are more packages for Puppy 3.

Music Software
Is there or is it possible to create a dotpup of a music creation/mixer type of program along the lines as Cakewalk/cubase type of thing, being able to upload one or more tracks and be able to add loops and remix them. I have found Sweep for linux here : http://www.metadecks.org/software/sweep/downl...

Thanks ttuuxxx for the quick reply, I will give it a go in the morning, too tired now. Where do I download the pet for Opera 9.52, please.
Does it overwrite my older install and transfer my bookmarks etc.
Do I have to reinstall the spellchecker afterwards as well.
Thanks in advance

Sorry if I offended you, I wasn't trying to be smart, just explaining what I had already done, as not to waste time. I have just bought a Sweex Wireless Lan PC Card for Puppy 4 Dingo, but can't seem to get it working. I tried all the auto probe, no success. I did Ndswrapper and did the inf files for Win 98, XP still no success. I then read on a google search that the mad wifi Drivers get this card running. I have ...
