Mostly commenting to follow the thread.. But, you can play flash games using flash player, outside of a browser. And, I don't know how to do it, but in the past I have played flash games that are embedded into excel spreadsheets. Might be an option to get your games working completely outside of a b...

I don't know. I thought for RAID to work you needed two of the same disk, cancelling out your idea. I could easily be wrong. What are you backing up? If you're backing up a hard drive, IMHO get another hard drive. If you're backing up a save file, eg a few hundred MB or maybe 1 or 2 gig, a USB drive...

My experience with video editing is fairly limited, but I have found that disk speed does bugger all to the speed of things. Booting to RAM has great advantages, but ultimately, the CPU can only process things at a rate (generally) much slower than any disk. To clarify my experience, I have seen zer...

Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) is a natural occurring, soil-borne bacteria that has been used since the 1950s for natural insect control. It consists of a spore, which gives it persistence, and a protein crystal within the spore, which is toxic. That toxic protein differs, depending on the subspecies ...

My daily routine... It hasn't changed much. I run a hardware store, which is apparently an essential service, so I'm working every day. My wife is a teacher, and our schools are still running (for kids of essential workers only), so she is working still. That means I have to take my kids to day care...

Hello sage or anyone else, Zoom is not seeing my microphone. I'm running Fatdog64, and the Alsa Input Level Control Panel applet shows a functional mic. Any suggestions as to where I should look? I'm the same as Dr. Dan on my laptop's built in webcam. No problems with my USB webcam (which has never...

Yep, that's the desktop switcher. Depending on the setup, if you use the scroll wheel on your mouse on the desktop, it can go through each desktop. Or, just click into each section of the switcher and you'll move between each desktop. Or, ctrl alt right/left arrow To test it out, open a browser wind...

Without a picture, you only leave anyone to guess. My best guess is that is the desktop switcher. You have 4 different desktops (configurable to however many you like) You can run different apps or programs on each desktop, without getting in the way of the other ones. Particularly handy for playing...
