Character rendering
I've noticed that some applications will mistakenly render 1/2 or 1/4 as numeric fractions. For example, entering url file:/// in firefox shows numeric fraction one-half in some of the directory timestamps. I've included an image here of the effect. I ran locale-gen to recreate the UTF-8 system but ...

rox filer
I've modified rox-filer view_details.c to provide movable columns in list view mode. The resultant binary is too large (260k) to post here, so I've included the modified source and you can compile it yourself. I used rox-filer-2015.02 from: http://ftp.nluug.nl/ibiblio/distributions/fatdog/source/700...

USB device identification
USB devices are not always correctly identified by pup_event. When this happens, hovering the mouse cursor over the drive icon will display Filesystem: none and clicking on the drive icon starts up pmount instead of auto mounting. A solution I've found involves replacing /usr/local/pup_event/fronten...

An easy way to run KDE 3.5.10 applications
Here's a simple way to run KDE 3.5.10 applications on Puppy. 1. download the file kde163.xzm from http://sms.it-ccs.com/downloads.html (approx. file size 98 megs) 2. change the name of the file to kde163.sfs 3. load the sfs with SFS-Load on-the-the-fly. Use only "on the fly" because the sf...

ROX-Filer Modification
Thanks for taking the time to test it. I see the problem and have included a revised version here that seems to fix it.
If I have some time later tonight I'll try it with Wary.
Here's the modified source code view_details.c

ROX-Filer Modification
I've modified ROX-filer 2.11 (Sourceforge) to allow treeview moveable columns (click and drag). Compiled on Polarpup-005, so it should work on any lucid version. I regularly sort using file size and mod time, so it's nice to change the column orders. Backup your ROX-Filer binary, swap in the attache...

chkrootkit says Stardust /sbin/init INFECTED with Suckit
I ran chkrootkit on Stardust Puppy and it found the following.
"Searching for Suckit rootkit... Warning: /sbin/init INFECTED"
Now I have to figure out what to do about it.
