Are you using PeasyWiFi as your connection manager?

Your tethering appears to create an Ethernet device called usb0.

I upgraded a Buster64 Starter Kit install to this k5.6.0 kernel along with the latest Palemoon v28.9.2. It looks good so far.

... but I see rcrsn51 has discontinued it (that's another one he's 'knocked on the head'.....why??) 1. Samba-TNG uses the old, insecure protocol "sec=ntlm" which has finally been dropped by Samba. So the Samba client tools (mount.cifs) in the latest Linuxes no longer connect to a TNG serv...

As much as people around here love to hate Pulse Audio, I suspect that it could handle this situation better than raw ALSA.

It's been my experience that browsers want to play their audio through the device that is declared in ALSA as "default". But that default device must be working properly. Open alsamixer for that device. For example, if it says "No controls found", there will be a problem. A possi...

Re: Copy2ram

The only difference with Puppy was, that by default Puppy runs with device unmounted but with BusterDog had to unmount it manually. I can confirm that. It's a bit annoying if you boot in "clean mode" to run something like Gparted and have to unmount a partition first. But it's not worth b...

Just to be clear, your situation is not the "fault" of ISObooter. Its ONLY job is to build a menu.lst file that Grub4Dos will use when the USB boots. What happens after that is the responsibility of Grub4DOS and the stuff inside the ISO. It's the same situation as booting off a CD. Some Pu...

Ah! So who started using BT to refer to Bluetooth? Shouldn't it be Bt? Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) is a natural occurring, soil-borne bacteria that has been used since the 1950s for natural insect control. It consists of a spore, which gives it persistence, and a protein crystal within the spore, w...
