Great post...solved all my problems and sorted out all the different questions i had...just need to get the GRUB to auto-boot to puppy now

Sooo much info...will read and digest.....thanks guys for all the pointers...will have a play and then report back when I mess it all up! I take it even if I mess the install up the boot from cd/dvd will still work?

I love Ubuntu...I love Puppy even more....installed from cd on IBM Thinkpad T43 and it has a new life...best OS ever...now I want to rid myself of MS forever...how do I install puppy as my only OS...and go careful as I'm new to this stuff...been covered with an MS comfortblanket too long
