Hello skyblaze I have just set up a frugal install of 702 on my Acer Aspire 5552 , and the touchpad is working OK here (after using the function keys ( Fn + F7 ) to enable it). I don't get on with touchpads, so i usually disable it. CatDude . tried that key combo on my Acer Aspire...no luck...still...

just downloaded the latest iso and burned to CD booted ok but no touchpad control at all with the mouse pointer frozen dead centre of the screen - I can use the keyboard and ctrl alt backspace to get to bash... my machine is an Acer Aspire ES 512 series laptop which I believe uses a Synaptics touchp...

I have used xubuntu booting from a flash stick ....better than puppy in terms of presentation and almost everything worked straight from the install...a few minor tweaks, downloded audio and video codecs and its good---the biggest problem is that it is not as responsive as Puppy and has some noticea...

i tried using Slacko 5,6,0 and after some fiddling with retrovol I managed to get sound working
