Xorg problem
I have set up Lucid Puppy but found the Xorg drivers will no longer run the Intel Mobile 945GM chipset without problems with screen updating, freezes, tearing (screen break up). The Xvesa driver works ok. Running Toshiba laptop with 2 gig ram. Ubuntu Lucid and Quirky 1.0 both work fine with Xorg. I ...

alsaconf 1.0.16 fails
BarryK, I've tried this from console and as part of the setup, on several various computers, and no sound card is ever detected by the script. The sound cards all have been detected at boot and are usable by running the alsamixer from the speaker icon or console. This seems to be something new since...

alsa sound setup
I could not get the alsa wizard to find either of my soundcards. snd-hda-intel (AC861VD) or Audigy ZS (uses snd-emu10k1). Alsa configuration
Thanks for all the info, I got lucky and found that by doing a clean install and dumping my older pup_save's my HDA Intel (AC861V) started working. Now only have to wait for ALSA group to fix the Audigy2 ZS mic level bug to have everything I need. Now I have a fully functional Puppy! Many thanks for...

still no sounds
Greetings, Using Toshiba A135-S4427 laptop I am still not getting any sound from the HDA-Intel (built in) sound card. It uses a Realtek AC861 chip set Alsa config finds the card, runs but no sound. Was wondering if the new alsa rc2 made it into this beta. Also still not finding my Audigy2 ZS pcmcia ...

hda-intel problem on Toshiba laptop
I've been reading this forum for awhile and really haven't seen any solutions to no sound with the hda-intel driver set. I got it working in ubuntu after rummaging around the forums there. Seems the module requires some options that had to be added. I have a Toshiba A135-S4427 and the motherboard au...
