I have a used but confirmed working Xircom RBEM56G-100 PCMCIA ethernet adapter running latest Puppy LiveCD and trying to test the machine out but can't seem to get any modules loaded to allow me to use the ehternet card mentioned.
Any suggestions?
Laptop is a Gateway Solo 9300, 288mb RAM, working on the hard drivwe but thats another story....

try either the pcmcia-cs driver or tulip driver in the network wizard
that pcmcia device is known buggy

unplugging the card after bootup may help, as it may be a timing problem, which has been common, not loading the driver early enough
