... and my problem is when I use a lot of opened windows (browsers -FF, Chrome, SlimJet with dozens of open windows).
My system stop responding during some time (minutes) and from time to time I must push the reset button.
Is this normal... can I solve it or the only solution is not to open so much programs?
I'm using cpu frequency scalling tool, ... what is the best config for it???
THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR HELP

In my experience this type of locking tends to be caused by either a dodgy device driver or by out of memory.
Seems most likely in this thread the issue is Out Of Memory (OOM).
Best option is to create a swapfile or better a swap partition though swap partitions or files involve many write cycles best avoided on flash based devices.
There are some kernel tunables in relation to OOM that may be worth trying to see if any difference:
There are quite a few tunables in relation to virtual memory that may be worth experimenting with, but it seems in this case that getting more memory or enabling swap is a good idea.

Code: Select all
sysctl -w vm.oom_kill_allocating_task=1
sysctl -w vm.panic_on_oom=1

Thanks a lot
Thanks a lot for your answers
I implemented a swap file (in the same partition, I'll try later with a different one) with 4GigaBites and I'll see what happens.
The enlightenment I have it's downloaded from...
1.- http://puppylinux.org/wikka/WindowManagers
or
2.- http://dotpups.de/dotpups/WindowManagers/
(I cant remember but its the one hosted at... https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8qkB ... zhGMDg3Tlk
