I am trying to use FatDog64 710 on a HP Stream EFI with Legacy support, using 'LICK' to manage it.
* Runs fine
* Saves savefile
* loads savefile
* does not execute savefile (ignores it)
* WILLl read savefile from a USB stick
* will NOT read savefile from SD Card
LICK is installed in Windows 10 Pro
FatDog64 not reading savefile on UEFI/Legacy eMMc drive
FatDog64 not reading savefile on UEFI/Legacy eMMc drive
I managed to install FatDog64 720 on the hard drive. Booted up fine with EFI, but still would only read the savefile if it was on a USB stick. Didn't like 720, you can't disable the touchpad.
Good! It should work better.I managed to install FatDog64 720 on the hard drive.
Look somewhere in /etc folder or /etc/X11/ folderyou can't disable the touchpad.
or /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d
The loading of drivers is controlled there.
A trick I am currently doing in fatdogarm is
making a save file with the default name
Then I put in cmdline.txt ---> savefile=direct:local
The operating system looks for the save file automatically when booting,
so this is nice when using the raspberry pi as headless machine.
...but note that save file must be using the default name.

Uninstalling LICK from windows 10Pro
I was using LICK to boot FatDog64 and it disabled Hibernation & Fast Boot.
I have now uninstalled LICK, but they are still disabled.
Anyone know how to re-enable them?

It's in the settings of Windows.
Just search the words in that cortana(or whatever that search assistant is called).
I don't use Windows much.
But the hibernation and fast boot has to be disabled in Windows if you want the ntfs partition to be read/write from another OS.
Windows when hibernation and fastboot is enabled, doesn't close that filesystem in regular way on shutdown.
So most linux systems only mount that filesystem as read only.
If you force read/write, then after booting back to Windows you will find your time wasted in scanning the drive.
That's why disable the hibernation and fastboot if you want to duel boot.

Not reading savefile
Cortana does not work in New Zealand.
I have uninstalled LICK duel boot, and would like Hibernate back again. It is still AWOL!

A simple Google search gave me following link.
https://www.howtogeek.com/243901/the-pr ... rtup-mode/
At end of that page, it shows how to enable or disable Fastboot and Hibernation and why would you want to do that.

Restoring hibernation
To restore Hibernation & fast boot settings that were removed from Windows by Lick, do the following:-
Right click on windows key
Open the Terminal console as administrator
powercfg /hibernate on
enter
