Thanks all! Gonna keep hacking on gtk and jwm. Looking close to what I want.
But I can't get a transparent terminal, pseudo or otherwise.
Any ideas? A transparency global setting I don't know about?

Configured differently -- go to JWM Desk utility and play. If you want the Launch Bar, go in that utility to the Options tab, then check Accessory Tray Launch Bar and set that to 12, or 18, depending on what you want. Go to Launch tab to select the launchers you want in there. Check out the other t...

How to make Bionicpup64 look like Bionicpup32? [SOLVED]
Been a long time, but I'm back! I started playing with Bionicpup on an Intel Centrino/Win7 lappy. I thought I was putting a bionicpup64 on there but instead put on the 32 bit version. Oops! started seeing version errors and figured out what I did, then put a frugal of the 64 on there and that is wha...

Love it!
Great distro! Wanted to watch Netflix on garage/gym computer, beefed up the gym PC to a slightly newer 64bit, put this on it and the google-chrome tahr sfs and boom, Netflix screaming along. But an added plus is how good my new OS looks! Great job!

Yeah, but one should be able to install other Arch packages, right? Hence the formatting of ArchPup, yeah? Anyway, I've tried a few things so far, specifically adding the core.db, exrta.db, testing.db and community.db to /var/lib/pacmna/sync. I then added a few mirrors: # WARNING! Do not edit this f...

How to run Pacman on ArchPup?
I began playing with Archpup 13.2.2 on my multiboot flash and it looks fun, but I can't get pacman up and running. I don't know how. Unfortunately all the posts I've seen everyone has been using Arch or Archpup for ever and knows pacman backwards and forwards. I've used Puppy for a long time and I'v...

I would also love to be able to get rid of Rox Filer at the top of my menu as I prefer to use pcmanfm on this puppy. But, of course, I edit menu.xml and it gets overwritten. Anyone know a way around that one? Edit: figured this one out. Edited the file /usr/sbin/fixmenus and added a # to comment out...
