chapchap70 - I pushed php 7.3.12 incorporating all of your build flags. I also pushed hiawatha 10.10. I don't use banshee so I don't know if it works; and I don't have time to test it; but it's there if you want to experiment. Good luck. Thank you very much Mr. Bond! php 7.3.12 must have been relea...

Update

When I first started this thread, I hardly knew what a database was. I'm running FatDog 802 on my server machine. I have been compiling php on my own because Banshee needs non-standard stuff. Here is how I do it... ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var --libdir=/usr/lib64 ...

I did end up getting this to work in FatDog 710 so my self hosted php website was able to email me info from a contact form and such. This relays emails to an smtp server so one does not have to setup their own email server or use a more complicated thing like postfix. This is a one way setup to ema...

Printer

In 802, I got an error while trying to print. I did not use 800 or 801 so I don't know if this would have happened in those. Unable to launch Ghostscript: /usr/bin/gs: No such file or directory I found that only ghostscript32 was installed so I installed the 64 bit version of ghostscript from gslapt...

I downloaded the pet twice; using it on two separate computers. It looks like it worked. Cups reported that the job completed and the error file didn't seem to report any errors. I won't actually see the printed paper probably until Tuesday because I am not at the location. I remoted in. Thanks for ...

Filter Error? File too large? (Solved)

I tried to set up printing in Fatdog to a wifi Kodak Hero 3.1 printer using this as a guide http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?search_id=1501070373&t=73107 In my case though, Cups was able to find my wifi printer so I just ran with that. I downloaded and installed the driver from the oth...

Anyone got nullmailer MTA working successfully?

All I wanted to do is to send email from my linux box (FatDog 710 if that makes a difference) through to the smtp server at port 587 and have it state that it came from my webmaster@mywebsite.com email address. I configured nullmailer and sent a test msg through to my smtp account and finally got a ...

In the actions folder there should be a suspend.sh file. Renaming that to something else does the same thing and saves the contents of the file in case you need to suspend in the future. Works in FatDog but should work in any Puppy that has an /etc/acpi/actions folder.

Hi All, The reasoning for using an appimage is so that you can click on the file wherever it may be eg: /root/spot/Downloads/appimagefile in Fatdog and when you reboot into something like Linux Mint, you can click on the same file and it will work there too. If it fails to run, the debug switch migh...

Re: Some AppImages expect to run as usr:

Hi Mike & All, I was curious to see if the Chromium AppImage would work. It failed to start, indicating either to run it as a normal user or specify an alternative "user-data-dir" for storage. As the AppImage is a "binary" we can't modify, I wonder if it were possible to sta...

How to install and use Cyrus (for email)?

I've been trying to use my website domain's smtp server to send email's from my website that uses the Banshee PHP Framework. I have Postfix installed via the FatDog 710 GSlapt package manager but it only has Dovecot and not Cyrus in it. I followed NoIP's instructions http://www.noip.com/support/know...
