have you tried "tiny.exe" ?

lnload won't run properly in fDOS (in my set-up) but runs ok in MS-DOS. i haven't figured out why because something else works. :wink:

... fprot seems working for me, i have just tested it, but had it also removed since i don't need it, almost 3 mos with puppy & haven't encountered windows-like viruses.

thanks blade i'm reading it now... EDIT: :D saved it, used save2image.. then /dev/ram1.. about the ide/hdd problem, you're right most "highly" probably coz when i'm writing files to hd it is still taking me ages. the hdd i'm using is maxtor. is there a workaround? thanks for the quick repl...

hi, i installed a normal puppy1.0.4 in a pentium3 128MB pc. i have a hardisk install. but it freezes more than 10 minutes in copying usr_cram.fs from /mnt/home to / .... then continue to xwin. is this a memory problem? i mean, it works fine after that copying thing. is it possible to skip the copyin...
