MU-Gtk-ThemeChooser
Hi Mark, Just a quick one - I like to use the stardust theme that is in Barry's gtk theme chooser in regular Puppy 3.01. The H2O-gtk2-Stardust theme is not working in the theme selector in Muppy. It just reverts to the default theme. I expect to see the "water" progress bars in a dusty lig...

Muppy008 Beta Xorg doesn't work with HP TX100 laptop
Hi Mark, Here's my story: Downloaded the EN .iso MD5 checksum was good - burned and tried on my old system (Celeron) - everything was great - Xorg recognized and correctly configured my 22" monitor (my system has nVidia graphics card and it was automatically configured - great feature). Love al...

Changing 215 Beta to final and 3.01 options
Hi Tazoc, Sorry you're not feeling so well. I've been away for a couple of weeks. Here's some feedback for you. 1. Yes, do convert the 215beta as it stands to a final release. The only thing that doesn't work for me is that annoying blue square that icedock occasionally leaves behind. Restart Icewin...

WiFi still not connecting
I just read pizzasgood post about 64 bit machines. Still no joy getting my HP TX1000 connected but it uses AMD Turion 64 Dual core processor. I have Vista on this machine (it comes pre-installed) and Vista connects every boot with no problems. In Puppy (3.01) I've tried the following (no wizard): - ...

Connect wizard is doing strange things
Have read all of the above. Tried H2O_Goalie's method but no luck. I am using the latest 3.01 (downloaded yesterday) and trying to connect my HP pavillion TX1000 laptop. I previously tried to connect it using puppy 2.17 which didn't recognized the wifi card in the laptop at all. 3.01 seems a lot bet...

What's the problem for Puppy 2.16 and glibc 2.4?
I have just experienced the same thing but via a different route: I run Puppy 2.16 from live CD using a pupsave file, and I decided to upgrade to seamonkey 1.1.4 (no problem). Found that 1.1.4 required a manual install of flash 9 plugin. Followed instructions for manual install (through console) and...

Alsaconf problem
Several people seem to have this same problem (in 2.16 and 2.17).
Any changes to sound made with Alsoconf through the wizard are lost (reset to original) on reboot.
I posted some details here (maybe the wrong place).
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=20788
Any help appreciated.

UPDATE
I moved my SB card to a different slot
Puppy now uses the SB card as the default.
Got no idea why it works this way.

Puppy reverts to on-board sound - loses reconfiguration
I'm running 2.16 (frugal install) using basic JWM and I'm getting a similar problem. I have a soundblaster card and also basic sound through the mother board. The SB card is much better quality, but each time I reconfigure puppy to use it using the Alsa Wizard, the settings are retained only until t...

ezpup sound problem
Not sure if this is the right thread for this - I recall seeing something about this elsewhere on the forum but I can't find it. I have installed EZPup 2.17 R2 although I'm using 2.16 (I need the nVidia drivers for my Viewsonic Q19wb screen which makes EZpup look really great). I had to add the rox ...

Hi Dougal, It took some time but I managed to install the nvidia driver. Lots of wrong turns so for anyone else here's what you need to do: Get the details for your display (recommended resolutions, horizontal and vertical refresh rates). Manually edit xorg.conf (it is also an option in Xorgwizard w...

Wide Screen - images are squashed
Using puppy and loving it. Changed to a wide screen Viewsonic 19wb, with nVidia GeForce3 nv20 card. I dual boot with XT. In XT a round symbol apprears correctly on the wide screen - i.e. icons and images display correctly, while using the entire width of the screen. In puppy, I used xorgwizard to sh...

Puppy 216 frugal install ath0 problem
I've checked this out a couple of times on my older AMD Athlon PC with 10gig HD (dual boot with XP). Use the Puppy Live CD, boot with pfix=ram, use connect icon - it detects eth0 and ath0 and loads the correct drivers. I'm only interested in the wireless ath0 connection. Use the scan option - it det...
